Here’s Why the Ford Mustang Gt 2018 Now Costs Over

Ford mustang gt 2018, This is a 2018 Ford Mustang GT and it is the latest Mustang that has been updated for the 2018 model year. It looks a little different from the old one. It has a little more power than the old one.

Honestly it’s just better than the old one Oh yeah, and this one costs $ 53,000, that’s 53 grand for a Mustang, and this isn’t a Shelby or Super Snake or some sort of Mustang Hellcat competitor. This is just a regular Mustang GT priced at

$ 53,000. I’m going to take you on a tour now. I borrowed this Mustang from Ford and specifically wanted one with many options. This one has many options. Now the Mustang GT starts at $ 40,000, which means it is $ 13.

000 in options to bring it down to its fifty-three thousand dollar price tag, that price may seem incomprehensible to two Ford Mustang fans, but today I’m going to try to explain why it’s not the biggest reason the Mustang lineup only has one A few years ago when you wanted a cool looking Mustang you got the basic level Mustang v6, but if you wanted a Mustang that was fun to drive you had to buy the v8-powered Mustang GT because the v6 was boring and since then the v6 Mustang has changed quite a bit. The basic level Mustang is the EcoBoost. It has 310 hp, makes 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds and starts around 28 US dollars.

000 means the base Mustang now looks fast and fun and cool and is surprisingly cheap. That means the GT had to get faster and the Mustang GT is now expensive. Yes, but keep in mind that this car is making 460 horsepower and 420 pounds – feet of torque that we’ve taken beyond driving pleasure into the realm of really high performance.

With its new automatic transmission, this thing gets 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds, and when you really think about it, 460 hp in 3. 9 seconds zero to 60 for 50 grand suddenly it doesn’t seem that crazy anymore and when it does more than that, I’m going to take you on a tour today in a 2018 Ford Mustang GT worth $ 53,000 in 2018 and it show you all the interesting quirks and features and then I’ll get behind the wheel and drive it and then will I will give him an unearthed score and for more thoughts on the Mustang click on the link below to autotrader.

We built our own 2018 Ford Mustang GT this way; here’s why

Com slash to visit Oversteer, which is where I’ve also compiled a list of the most unusual and bizarre Mustangs currently on sale at auto dealers. Now I’m starting under the hood where there are a couple of interesting quirks, one of which is the badge, there are quite a few of which there are quite a few down here first on the plastic engine cover there’s a 5.0 badge just to keep you on the pole too remember that goes over the engine to stiffen the chassis.

There is a small badge on the shield that says Mustang GT with two lines about 2 inches long on either side of the GT. I’m not sure why, even though the plastic on the engine cover says it is both left and right powered Ford, just in case you have any questions about what this car is different from the other interesting thing under the hood is driven. There are a ton of QR codes almost all of them under the hood part of I’ve tried scanning my QR codes with my phone but they don’t assume I assume they’re you like proprietary QR codes for Ford and use them on the production line to synchronize which parts need to be in a certain place at a given time,

I didn’t really see this until there’s an interesting look at automotive manufacturing next, the front end is now one of the biggest updates for 2018. The main update to the exterior is that the front end has been slightly redesigned there. ‘It was a bit of a controversy about what that looks like in person.

I think it looks good, similar to the old one, but I think we can all agree that the chases look really cool. Check to see if you turn on the car and these are the running lights that are coming. If they have that really cool look and they are always on, let’s move on to the rear of the car. There are a couple of interesting details.

One is the fuel filler flap that you open and you will find that it is capless so there is no fuel filler cap to remove and put on your trunk. Then you accidentally drive away and it falls off the car and you lose it. It’s a capless fuel.

So it’s a smart idea. Many new Fords have this. It’s not really that unusual if you already have a Ford, but it’s worth noting if you have one.

‘I didn’t see it until there’s another interesting object here in the back side window. There is a small sticker in the back that says Flat Rock Assembly Plant, where this car is built. There are world class vehicles built by world class people and a little picture of the factory. Can you imagine if that was your job in the factory? Go to the cafeteria.

What do you do? Oh yeah, I screw in the headlights. Make sure the car has headlights. What do you do? Sticker world class people, it’s me, I do the stickers, next we go further back.

I mean, they’re a surprising number of quirks back here. ‘I start with this badge in the center back. You can see GT say all GTS have the interesting thing about this badge.

Obviously, all EcoBoost models only have one horse with the Mustang logo in the middle. You always stand behind a Mustang and have the horse logo there. You know it’s an EcoBoost.

Obviously the GTS se GT. The other interesting thing about this car is the rear turn signals, which are some of the coolest in the auto business, which light up one by one like a little construction sign warning you that you need to change lanes because there is a construction zone ahead of you. I love the way these look.

Some interesting things about them are: When you turn on the hazard lights, they don’t come on one by one. I think they decide that novelty wears off when you’re actually in danger and just light up in front of you like normal turn signals. They also light up like normal turn signals, but you will find that the flash is a little longer because it flashes for a longer period of time, that’s all three of the rear signals that light up in front, one only lights up once at that time, like this that it flashes a little longer than a normal blinker.

It is also interesting when you are in the car. You can actually hear that longer blink manifest beep on the turn signal and you can hear it stays on just a bit longer than a regular blinker between clicks. One of the things you might be wondering is how Ford gets away with sequential turn signals, but in the Audi rs3 article I made they couldn’t, ‘No sequential turn signals. There was some sort of secondary light that had to come on too, because there is a federal standard on how many turn signals must flash when you turn your turn signal on for the first time, in the case of Audi the number of turn signals that flash is too small to meet the standard, therefore the auxiliary light must come on during the sequential Turn signal lights up in Ford.

‘If that light comes on first and is big enough on its own to meet the federal flasher surface standard, Ford does the sequential flasher without the auxiliary light next to the rear like Audi. We have a couple of interesting topics to cover, items that are hidden. One of them is the reversing light.

It turns out that the reversing light in the new Mustang is under the license plate under the bumper. Down here, shift into reverse and it turns out who knew it was down there. The other interesting hidden object back here certainly isn’t the trunk popper. Now you can squeeze the key fob to open the trunk, or you can stick your hand down here by the license plate where you would never really know.

It’s located and then it opens and you can open the trunk by moving on to the trunk itself. You will find that there is nothing particularly interesting about it. It’s pretty big for a car like this one.

It’s carpeted, nothing particularly interesting, but if you open up on the trunk floor you’ll find a spare tire well, but there is no spare tire, there is only an air compressor. So if you break down and can try to fix it yourself it’s like they give you a spare tire and they were like no, we changed our minds but here is the spare tire weld to see what You could have had next. I move into the interior where it is.

‘A surprising amount of quirks. We start with the instrument cluster. I really like the fact that if you turn the car before you close your door, a little warning comes up saying the vehicle is running fine.

Thank you, I really appreciate letting me know we are on the same page that I turned it on and glad you are telling me now that it is on. By the way, these warning messages are interesting. The vehicle is switched on and outlined in yellow.

However, it is only a medium warning. Certain other warnings are red because they are more important; B. Leaving the door open or the hood open while your car is driving.

These will turn red because more importantly, you drive away without knowing anything about your door, but the vehicle is on. That’s just something you need to know about next. We move on to the seats.

Now this car has those Recaro sport seats and they look really meaty and grippy and they really keep you in place in corners. You are really cool. I like how they feel, different from how they look.

The downside to these seats is that they cost sixteen hundred dollars and they don’t have power, so they’re totally manual seats cannot be ventilated or heated. So when you get these Recaro seats you really need to be held in the corners because you’re giving up a lot to be honest. I’d rather let my bum cool down and slide around a bit more as we move on to the next control pile.

Here are a few interesting things that I really like by the end of the middle control stack of those cool silver toggle switches that make it look like you have an airplane with hazard lights traction control off. Next time the titans are loose. The steering feel gives you different steering modes and then the one on the right is the drive mode, but regardless of what these switches do, it’s just fun to press them next, but even more interesting next to those little levers.

You can see we have the gear stick and you can see I have a six speed manual in this car with my Recaro seats I’m ready for some serious performance and at the base of that gear stick the sync is not a Mustang GT or 5. 0 to really emphasize my performance but instead it’s an indicator for the infotainment system. It seems like a strange place to put that on the gear stick right there and talk about things that say things in this car.

I bring your attention to the underside of On the center console lid, which has a little clip on it and printed right over it, pens are just for the people out there who see this and say what a little cylindrical thing I am Could put there is we go to the glove box for my magnifying glasses At first glance, it seems like a pretty normal glove box when you left that little latch. The glove box opens pretty easily, but here’s the interesting thing: there’s a little yellow tab on the top of the glove box that you squeeze there and there. ” A separate glove compartment for the operating instructions Your operating instructions are not in your actual glove compartment.

It is located in a special small storage compartment in the glove compartment. As we are talking about the instruction manual, this has been discussed. The fee for this car is 501 pages. How is it possible that a simple old American V8 rear-wheel drive muscle car could have a 500-page owner’s manual? I’m going to tell you how on page 196 you read a whole section about towing and I don’t mean towing the car, which I mean, in fact, there is a whole half page devoted to starting a personal watercraft with your Mustang.

How do you position your Mustang to launch a boat on a boat ramp? There’s another point of interest that I find in the owner’s manual: there’s a long section on diagnosing problems with the voice control system. Basically you are using the voice control system instructing you to call someone who is not working. Therefore open the operating instructions on page 429. My favorite problem The sink 3 voice control system has problems recognizing foreign names stored on my cell phone and then displays the possible causes, which you may not state exactly in the name, as in your phone book appears and moves on to Say Synchronization Theory applies phonetic pronunciation to every name in your phone book,

Basically, if you’re trying to scratch your girlfriend Johanne you have to say this phonetically if you want Sig 3 to pick it up, or if you don’t want to, you can’t manually select your contact if it’s your strange named friend just can’t find it, it says you just go in and select it manually. It’s probably easier than trying to figure out his strange name next. We move on to the instrument cluster which is just a giant screen away for 2018 and it has a lot of interesting quirks, one of which is the fact that it always shows my RPM and I don’t just mean in a speedometer way like most cars.

I mean there is always a digital display of my RPM 946 ATL Evon 2011 80 1190 1250 I don’t know why anyone would want to see this digitally and obviously as it just keeps fluctuating, but there your exact RPMs will be digital next displayed. Next, let’s move on to what happens to the instrument cluster when you switch the drive modes here is the instrument cluster in its normal state looks like a pretty standard cluster, but you put it in the sport and take a look at how the tachometer does is now displayed. It kind of goes over the top.

It’s a cool little look and that’s kind of the benefit of a configurable cluster like this, but now check out what happens when I get it on track. It gets even more aggressive, showing the RPM in that flat line across the top, which is a cool feature. ‘It’s nice to see everyone changing like that.

By now you may have heard the incredibly annoying beep as I turned the engine in these shots, and here’s the deal with there’s a little button on the steering wheel with a Mustang logo that seems a little cryptic at first, but you push into it and it will display all of these configuration options for the car. One of the options is a shift sound to have the car turn on a shift light to let you know when it’s time to upshift or it can be pat you when it’s incredibly annoying upshift time and I highly recommend never turn them on. There are some other interesting things that show up when you hit this Mustang button.

One of them is the exhaust grade. Now you have four different exhaust note options, quieter normal sport and stretch let’s see if anything actually happens when you switch between them. Here is the exhausting quiet and here is the exhaust in the track, which is surprisingly a little louder and louder and I love the exhaust note in this car more now, now that I go beyond that, another interesting thing is that when you press the Mustang button shows up, the start control.

You can turn on the start control and you can also set the speed at which the start control starts. You can choose from 3,000 RPM, which I find up to 5,500 RPM enough, if you want to do 5500 RPM starts you can do so when you buy a used one that the previous owners have the Set launch controls to another interesting item, which allows you to choose which gauge you want to display in the middle, there is a section about gauges and you can go through and select them.

As with all common Daz engine temperatures, it also has my personal favorite axle oil temperature which is around four people in the world personally care about the funny: you can choose and then go back to your instrument cluster. You can see that you have your tachometer. You have your speedometer and then you have your axle oil temperature for all those times that that really matters to you. Next up there’s an option to change the colors that are shown in the instrument cluster.

This is pretty cool. You can go through and choose between the colors ice blue, gray, green, purple, whatever you see it can change but you can also switch to one of my colors, which if you scroll down the color menu you will see that there is a function called “create in my color”. Click on it.

There are a whole range of colors that you can create. Now it doesn’t all show up, but it’s a whole wheel I promise you, and you can see that I’ve now chosen some sort of orange when I go back into the color picker menu. I pick my color in the color I just picked and make sure it’s all the orange I picked is perfect if you have a very specific color that you want your instrument cluster to display in the next I’m.

When I move from the Mustang tab to the Vehicle Settings tab, one interesting thing I found here is the Locks section which shows an item for auto lock and auto unlock means but if you have a 2018 Mustang you can activate the Miss Lock or deactivate the Miss Lock now. Another element I should mention is this general environment. This car has adaptive cruise control.

The radar cruise control sees the car in front of you and slows it down. Shutting down or accelerating depends on what it is doing. This is especially important as this car has a manual transmission. So you may be wondering how adaptive cruising works with a gear stick.

Two points of interest are the moment you press the clutch that turns it off, so when you upshift or downshift it turns off and you’re inoperable, but what you’re probably more interested in , is what happens when the car in front of you comes to a stop and squeezes the clutch to make you downshift where you do.It’s fine, it turns out, when you start slowing down. It’ll slow down for you, just like adaptive cruise control should. However, if you get to a point where it just gets too slow, when your revs get too low, it wins and then it becomes adaptive, the cruise control is off and you honestly have to take over from there,

I think that’s a cool feature. We are finally moving on to the infotainment system. Ford Sync’s synchronization has improved dramatically since it was first released.

Honestly, it’s now awesome that it’s really responsive to anything that has to be pinched on the map, whatever you just tap reacts. It reacts very quickly. In all honesty, it feels like using a really good phone.

I know the sync had some issues at first, but it’s much better now and I would love to have this system. Next, in my car, we need to discuss the rear seats. Yes, this car has rear seats and as usual I’m going to climb into them now. I moved the front seat all the way forward and now I’m back here.

I’m working on getting the front seats, lean back well, just wouldn’t, it wouldn’t be too much room, especially if I got it back into position, that would mean I might as well take this time to look at one Dispelling unusual rumor that always goes on when I climb into the back of those cars where the auto companies just put the back seats in for insurance purposes that are not true, no insurance company looks at this. 460hp rear-wheel drive shifters have to take it all, but it has good rear seats. Then it has to be a safe family car.

They’re not dumb. They brought them here because some people want a two seat car most of the time, but they want to go back to see it just in case they have to move around someone the occasional so they don’t try insurance companies who have these detailed statistical models; we won’t be fooled because some companies are adding extra seats to a 500hp sports car.

They have an ear for people who actually want to use rear seats, and while these are usable on occasion, honestly, based on how tight they are, I’d say very occasionally and so these are the quirks and features of the 2018 Mustang GT. Now is the time to get behind the wheel and drive everything right. Drive the new Mustang GT and I have to tell you this thing is a great thing – it’s great fun I haven’t had much time in a Mustang in ages and I’ve spent a lot of time in this one and it does so much Fun why I thought it was kind of crappy and not worth mentioning the interior sucks they ‘I still use cheap plastic almost all over the dashboard and door.

There is no coherent line that just has to come together. There are a few things that could be improved. Those turn signal switches that Ford uses are exactly as you know what can’t be improved is like the performance per dollar for this car which I never would have thought because it costs 50 grand, but here’s the thing, it it’s really fast, it’s really fun, it works amazingly well, it’s just so rock, it’s just the best thing I love to drive this car.

Another thing I really love is that downshifts are such a blast and the shifting of gears that you know nowadays when manuals for it go away actually brings some thoughts to this car – it’s just fun to hit the clutch pedal . It’s kinked a little more than I would like. It’s not quite as smooth as some cars, but other than that, it’s good that it’s predictable just as good handling is really impressive and I think that’s probably the area where I’m most surprised by this car.

It drives a lot better than I expected that we’re still not up to the level I drove the old style GT350R at Mustang the pre-facelift and that thing works like a super car. This thing is good, it’s not up to this level, but it’s better than I’d expect from a Mustang. I mean if you have it.

‘I haven’t spent time like a Mustang in a while and you have these old prejudices. You will be surprised that the sound is so much fun that I mean that this sound is 30 years old and it sounds like I qualify for la la as it is, it’s that loud at all or you can driving into a quiet, low corner, it’s not that bad but i love i love the way it sounds ok just right is harshman it’s a tough ride no car for driving you in that City around, it’s bumps and it’s rough. I’m not really that much of a Mustang fan.

I was something of an evening where nobody accuses me of being too allied with one brand or another. I think I give everyone pretty fair reviews of cars, I don’t care that much about certain brands, other than I like Land Rover, but I just make fun of them most of the time, so I’m like, ‘I’m not a Mustang guy of you Camaro guy over a challenger. I mean, all of these cars speak to me honestly, but that’s impressive, but it’s better than I expected and I think if I would pick one of these three at the moment, the new Mustang was the one that did this thing in the last Week drove around like Wow, that’s fun, it’s actually fun and that’s the 2018 Ford Mustang GT.

Yes, this is an expensive Mustang, but it also has all of great styling, great sound, and great performance.Lots of power and torque.Tons of technology are sure more expensive than previous Mustangs, but it’s better too and now it’s time to get it Giving a dug up score starting with the weekend categories and the styling of the Mustang is fine. The new design is a bit controversial and the overall look is a bit familiar and it accelerates 6 out of 10, the 0 to 60 in 4 seconds or blessed with an automatic and it gets an 8 out of 10 handling of a sharp good sports car sharp and it gets a 7 out of 10 fun factor is huge the car easily puts a smile on your face and it gets a 7 of 10 Cool Factor For most people, however, it is minor.

There’s just another Mustang and in fact it is and it gets a 5 out of 10 overall weekend score of 33 out of 50 Next are the daily categories starting with features this car has a lot of cool technology like adaptive cruising in this configurable instrument cluster but it also lacks some things like electric seats, it gets six out of ten comfort is fine and it gets five out of ten quality is decent I guess it will be reliable enough

The GT 350 is the zl1, the demon. It’s a great performance car, but it’s not up to par with the models that are in the next performance field
