The number of smart watches on the market is staggering. We tested the models out Tag Heuer,, Citizen, Montblanc, Dieseland many other fashion brands, but most of them just too expensive for what you get. (Not to mention the Wear OS watch, which won’t get an update to the latest version). Here are some other options that we like.

Casio PRT-B50 for $ 156: If you like the Casio PRW61 sound above but hate the price, consider this model. You get many of the same benefits, such as a compass, altimeter and barometer, but for much less. It is not made of biomass plastic and it has no solar charge, although its battery lasts for two years. This does track steps and can automatically adjust the time wherever you are. You can place virtual markers on your route, which can be viewed via a map in the accompanying application (connected via Bluetooth), and you can easily return to them with a watch. It comes in a size of 50.8 mm.

Fossil Gen 6 for $ 299: Fossil’s latest flagship smartwatch isn’t as fast as the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, and has a dull design. Its battery doesn’t run that long, though you get a similar Essential mode that ensures time is displayed even when the battery is low (for a few days). The health tracking features are pretty accurate, and this year it’s planned to get Wear OS 3. It’s included 44- or 42mm dimensions. (It works almost the same as the Skagen Falster Gen 6 above.)

Mobvoi TicWatch E3 for $ 200: The E3 has the same fast processor as the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra above, and it will get an upgrade to Wear OS 3. It’s not as durable, usually requires recharging in the morning after sleep tracking (with the display always on), and a 44mm case still pretty big. Its suitability tracking results were similar to other watches I tested with it, such as the Galaxy Watch4. But I regret the build quality: it’s plastic, cheap and not very pretty to look at.
