1967 Ford Mustang Review

1967 ford mustang, What’s up, any cervix fan here for one more auto-rating? This is of course the 1967 Ford Mustang 289 v8. Thanks to Brogan for making this great classic car available for me to review for you today so that some of you will know that I am a huge classic car fan I love they I actually have a link that I talk about classic cars on called Oldtimer Fan, and I love it. That’s just great.

It’s so iconic, of course. I am a Mustang fan. I own a 2015 but this classic one, it’s exactly what you see here is an icon.

I mean, you know this is a ’67 model that you know was slightly redesigned from the original ’65, but they had to re-style it. One of the reasons was that they were making 1.3 million 65 and 66 Mustangs and they said the molds for the body panels were worn out after 1.3 million copies so they had to go back to the drawing board and repeat them a little, but me think it looks great frankly.

I think it’s one of the best car designs ever. You just have these long flowing lines and the long, pronounced bonnet. It’s friendly, nonetheless, it looks aggressive up front too and you have the classic pony corral there and the back end that I love – I mean, this is when they really defined the tri-bar taillights there and they do are actually concave which is so cool and cool Something that really hasn’t been repeated since the Mustangs and I love that they are really cool – Kavitha concave and just the proportions, it’s so fun you know that these are so small compared to the newer ones and it’s just that it is – it’s such a cool type of car that they have literally made millions of them.

It’s just amazing and I love it when you get excited about the interior of the 67 Mustang. It’s super cool. I recommend anyone who you know has a car person sitting in an old classic that Harley gives you see how far we’ve come and it makes you appreciate certain things, but the first thing I haven’t had in a while done more but this is a door slam, it’s solid and all this car is is real metal.

You know everything nowadays and modern cars are plastic that looks and feels like metal, but it’s not real metal. This stuff fits over metal, all of the handles, and all of the little switches, and it’s a very simple type of car, but it’s’ it’s great so you know you can actually get the mustangs then this is how you can customize them, that they are exactly how you want them to be. There were some that were more luxurious, it could be a personal luxury car, it could be a bare bones race, or you could have it exactly how you wanted it.

This one does not have the center console. For example, you just have the radio hanging on the dashboard here and that’s it. They only have carpeting but anyway the first things first sit down seats so we have these bucket seats then a bucket is a loose term that I know is basically a bench where they cut out the middle section because the side padding is very, very low again.

This is basically a 50 year old car so I’m not going to criticize it’s super cool you know the bolsters here obviously support that you don’t have headrests and your upper back is forgetting, but it’s perfectly fine because you just know it’s just so comfortable that I love it anyway, so yeah they are soft – you know that black vinyl is very sleek and really great next to the steering wheel in the 67 Mustang that is pencil thin and super cool, even though you do here again know real metal parts on the horn and all that stuff and here a bit of padding you won’t be badly impaled if you decide to bump into something but it’s not an airbag of course. This is really tiny and very cool. Then the ads in the Mustang are also very cool,

You have a temperature for your coolant, there is a gasoline that you know feels like, of course, a little gauge and you know the clock in the middle and here’s another thing about old school craftsmanship: you can just listen how the clock is ticking and it’s awesome i mean but all of the controls are metal. I mean, the heater controls are over here on the left are all metal and feel very hefty. You know full well you have wiper controls up here.

It’s a metal thing. They know the buttons for everything are just so cool and you have your basic knowledge that you know AM Radio here and that’s it and super cool and then that’s that, there really isn’t much else, you gotta love love blocks and you had your gear stick here and floor gear stick. That was still, you know pretty new thing, I have four gear levers and that’s great to have that something on the pillar instead, but yeah, that’s really nothing else here.

It’s just that you know you have all the cool little touches like these smoking windows that you know fold out and are very cool. Yeah, it’s just such a cool car and this one I just want to briefly mention the story that is the great thing about classic cars: they have history and history. This has 39.

000 original miles and has been in the family for a lifetime. It was sold by the family and it was in the cars too, it’s the car has been in the family for most of its life, it was there for a short time where it had another owner, but then it came back in the family, so this car and they have really seen it from the showroom floor until now and it has been very well preserved I would also like to add that everything here is original except for the other tires that have been updated but it’s basically exactly what it has been for the past 50 years, which shows how good it is.You are built to still look so good after 50 years that everything still works. For the most part, everything is held so well that it is really impressive.

The back seat, if a Mustang is actually more spacious I would say then the back seat on the current Mustang and that’s funny because it’s such a smaller car, but yeah, that’ll actually create a similar space back there. You have good headroom with the way the roofs are cut out and the best part is there is no latch, the seat just goes up and you yeah you just let it The people are nice and easy going, so getting in and out of the back is easy, but obviously not the safest trunk in the Mustang is very, very roomy. You put a lot of stuff in there.

Several pairs of golf clubs fit you and a very usable trunk also okay, so certificate for a 1967 driving course You have a good old key and say Sloughing is a logarithmic range here and it starts right away so I should get a Ford Mustang from Set up in 1967. This is the first time I’ve added it I’ve ever driven a classic car that I’ve already written in two but I’m ‘I’ve never driven one and the first thing you notice is that the steering wheel turns a lot of turns, to make it spin If you’re just going in a straight line there are small corrections made and it’s obviously very inaccurate, very loose, but that’s fine,

I just drive down the street so this is an old girl so we’re not going to torture her too much here but let’s put on a little gas and see how it works. I have to say your corrections here are definitely a floatie ride. It’s actually a full time job just to get it going in a straight line just because it likes to drift and wander that’s an experience and the power is good, of course I’m not kidding about my pants but it’s really good you know , I mean this is a 289 v8 engine, now it’s not a GT because the GT was just a trim pack back then, right? That doesn’t mean you have the v8 so this is just a standard Ford Mustang with the v8 option, and so the 289 came here in three different versions for 67,

It’s just all original again. He never tore it apart or anything, so we’re dealing with somewhere between 200 and 200 per horsepower, either way, it’s a healthy amount for a car that is as light as it was back then, you know you can know how hard it is and how they were made but they still don’t have a lot going for them, it’s pretty light and so other things, although I have to visibly mention them, are great because you know a lot of glass and very thin pillars and stop again.

It’s not the safest, but it’s very cool. That said, Redemption sounds pretty good – yeah, it doesn’t have any type of aftermarket exhaust, but you can hear a little bit of what you know splashes around the v8 and that sounds really good. I’m just amazed at how much correction it takes to make it so funny and you know it actually is, I mean, of course, I don’t have a lot of confidence because it takes so much correction to get to the straight line , but you know that this is an abundance of body roles or anything else.

‘It’s a pretty sporty feeling, it’s just a completely different feeling. By modern standards, I’m comparable to anything I’ve ever ridden. It’s so unique.

Lots of corners, many corners back and we’re straight ahead again. Okay that’s fun and see, the thing is what’s great about Classical, or now, don’t you have to Sarahandhanan, we’re going in a straight line and going down the street. I think a three-speed automatic transmission obviously won’t shift very quickly but has that selection automatic so you have an option to go to – we’ll know it’s the same as what you get in each one See kind of modern car that has one and yes Waimea works well with ships that you know there is no bucking and works smoothly and that’s comfort and sophistication and they really got that right with this transmission,

jumping around in things like that and jumping crazy speeds over hills in San Francisco, and I’d be scared, like I just mean these people. I mean, they had an incredible amount of courage and bravery. It was just unbelievable what they can do and such, because I can’t imagine doing something like that. I mean, you know I walk around here and here I mentally prepare for any applause because it’s okay, it just has to be done very differently and it’s crazy because there are so many things and I look forward to it and it feels so familiar to the Mustang I got for making me feel like I’m in almost the same car, only a couple of years apart when it was actually 48, to be precise, but it’s a crazy feeling that shows you

I do not want to talk about it. I just want to have fun driving, which is relaxed even though it is, I said little nerve, you know you are trying to steer and brake smoothly, but as you – it’s so relaxing, worried about the spear and you just make sure to drive everything around you. It’s just so visceral that you feel alive.

It’s great, huge thanks to Brogan for teaming up with me again. I checked this out and a Dodge Challenger Hellcat would really appreciate your polar opposites, which is super cool in its own way. Well you like the horny vintage section knowing I might have some other owners offering some of their rattle too and it’s so cool and I’d love to bring you more during the experience I think , everyone can appreciate it and everyone should experience it.

I have real gasoline here. At some point it will be like that anyway. Thanks for reading you guys. I’ll see you, Karen
